Ingredients Needed

For marinade

  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 2 tbsp cornflour

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • ½ tbsp chili sauce

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • Salt to taste

For preparation

  • 2 cups paneer cubes (medium size)

  • ½ cup green bell pepper (diced)

  • 1 diced onion

  • 2 tbsp mined ginger-garlic

  • 2 green chilies (finely chopped)

  • ¼ cup spring onion greens

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp chili sauce

  • 1 tbsp vinegar

  • 1 tbsp cornflour

  • Cooking oil

  • Salt to taste

Preparation Method

  1. In a bowl, mix all the marinade ingredients using the water to make a thick mixture. Add the paneer cubes to coat them well in the mixture. Let the paneer sit in the mixture for 10 minutes while you heat the oil in the pan for frying.

  2. When the oil gets hot, turn the flame on medium and leave paneer cubes in the oil one by one. Leave the cubes in for a few seconds until they turn golden brown and then keep them aside on a plate.

  3. In another pan, heat 2 tbsp oil and add ginger-garlic and onions. Stir for a minute. Then add diced bell pepper and cook for a few seconds. Pour 2 cups of water into the pan and then add the sauces including chili sauce, soy sauce, vinegar and salt.

  4. Take cornflour and add 2 tbsp water into it to make a slurry with no lumps. Add the cornflour mixture into the pan with green chilies. Cook the sauce well on high heat while stirring.

  5. Leave the spring onion greens and salt to your taste. Once the mixture is thick to the desired level, turn off the flame and add fried paneer. Serve hot in a bowl.
